Built for the wild

This is a story about two brothers who founded YETY Coolers company with just one simple mission in mind: build the cooler they would use every day! That’s it, that’s all! And guess what… They did it!

Back then in 2006, Roy and Ryan Seiders where two enthusiasts of hunting and fishing. They were also raised with an appreciation for wild game, unfamiliar territory and high quality gear.

But coolers – inseparable companion outdoor expeditions – were so bad designed, so week in ice retention, so cheap at all, that they could not take it any longer.

That frustration led them to a solution. The YETI Coolers Company. The Seiders’ goal in establishing the company was to build a “grizzly-proof” cooler “for the serious outdoor enthusiast rather than for the mass discount retailers”.

YETI Coolers targets niche markets of high-end hunting and fishing enthusiasts. In 2013, sales reached $100 million, which is 50 percent up from 2012.

That’s what I call success!

How to Find the Best Cooler

2You want to find the best cooler to keep your drinks and snacks cold, but how do you pick the best one? There are a few things to look for when searching for the best cooler, and you should make sure to surely evaluate models before you buy one.

Storage area
One of the biggest considerations when trying to find the best cooler is the amount of storage space it has for your drinks and whatever other items you want to keep cold. You want plenty of space without the cooler being so big that it is unwieldy. You have to consider what you will be using it for. If you mostly will be trying to keep a six pack cold, a smaller cooler is OK. If you will be using it to pack drinks and snacks for the whole family, then you will need something bigger.

Another consideration when looking for the best cooler is how durable it is. If you go camping a lot or use your cooler a lot outdoors, you will need something that is very durable. If you plan to only use the cooler to transport things to hotels or parties, durability may not be as big an issue.

A big consideration when finding the best cooler is the price. If you want bells and whistles, then you have to be willing to pay for them, but if you just want a basic cooler, then the best one may be something cheaper. When evaluating the price of a cooler, you have to weigh it against what features you will get.

These are just a few of the criteria you can use to decide which cooler is the best one for your needs. Read on to learn more, what are the best coolers for you.
